Seal Viewing (ProDive)

Activity Description

For those of you in the family who do not wish to snorkel but do not want to miss out on this exciting boat ride out to the beautiful Robberg Nature Reserve to view the seals, you can accompany your family & friends on our boat.

You will be met on arrival at the dive centre to sign in before taking a short stroll on the beach to the boat & experience a true Plett-style beach launch. Once out at Robberg you will be able to observe a variety of Nature in & out of the water, including the largest flock of Cape Cormorants & the ever so elegant Cape Gannet, not forgetting our amazing Cape Sea Fur Seals interacting with the snorkelers. You might even be lucky enough to see the whales & dolphins that frequently visit the bay.

WhereWHERE TO MEET: Please drive straight to the Beacon Island Hotel Main Entrance. Park outside & follow our signs on the walkway to the left of the boom gate. We are INSIDE the Beacon Island Hotel complex, next to the volleyball courts. If you need any further directions please ask the security. MEETING TIME: (IMPORTANT) The time advertised is the launch time, please meet at our dive centre no later than 30 minutes before the time.

WeatherAll trips are weather dependent & conditions will be checked on the morning of your activity, one hour prior to arrival time. Please note that if the weather conditions are not suitable for diving, the Charter can be cancelled on the morning of the dive.

What to WearSun hat & warm clothing/wind-breaker.

Things to BringSun hat & warm clothing/wind-breaker (it can be cold on the water when the wind blows). Please bring along your own water bottle or we have ones on site for sale to avoid single use plastic. You can use our water dispenser on site (no charge).
