PADI OPEN WATER COURSE:

PADI ADVANCED COURSE:
This course is just diving and can be completed directly after your Open Water Diver Course, to build confidence & gain experience underwater. You’ll practise navigation, learn to perfect your buoyancy, dive deeper than 18m, get to know the marine creatures & learn about boat diving.
Duration: 5 – 7 Days
PADI Open Water Divers & Advanced Combo will qualify you to:
1. Dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters
2. Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in dive activities
3. Continue dive training by completing the PADI Rescue Diver certification and taking certain specialty diver courses
What you will learn:
The PADI Open Water course consists of three main phases:
Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving.
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills.
Four Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore.
The PADI Advanced Course
A total of 5 Dives:
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects & challenges of deeper scuba diving.
The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills & helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks & time.
The other knowledge & skills you get vary with your interest & the adventures you have – buoyancy control, fish identification, boat diving procedures, night diving & many more.
Pre-requisites:
You must be 12 years old or older
You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health
No prior experience with scuba diving is required

WHERE TO MEET:
Please drive straight to the Beacon Island Hotel Main Entrance. Park outside & follow our signs on the walkway to the left of the boom gate. We are INSIDE the Beacon Island Hotel complex, next to the volleyball courts. If you need any further directions please ask the security.

The time advertised is the latest meeting time.

PLEASE NOTE:
You will need to be in reasonable physical health & we will require you to complete a medical questionnaire prior to the start of the course. In the event that you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions we may require for you have a medical to confirm that you are fit for scuba diving.
