If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver course might be right for you ̶ particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily with a dive guide.
With this course you are qualified to:
1. Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters.
2. Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment and participate in dive activities as long as properly supervised.
3. Continue dive training by completing the PADI Open Water Diver certification and taking certain specialty diver courses.
Pre-requisites:
You must be 10 years old or older.
You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health.
No prior experience with scuba diving is required.
What you will learn:
The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:
Knowledge Development: only 3 sections of 5 theory sections, (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving.
Confined Water Dives: only the first 3 of the 5 pool sessions to learn basic scuba skills.
Open Water Dives: only two of four sea dives to explore the ocean.
Duration:
Full Time: 2 Days
Part Time: 1 Week (evenings and weekend)
Online study or Tuition by an internationally certified PADI instructor.
3 Pool Sessions (heated swimming pool).
2 Qualifying sea dives.
All equipment is supplied for the full duration of the course.
Airfills.
Registration with PADI International Limited.
Course materials: Digital manual with the option to upgrade to the Open Water Touch (a tablet app, complete with videos and interactive training material).
WHERE TO MEET:
Please drive straight to the Beacon Island Hotel Main Entrance. Park outside & follow our signs on the walkway to the left of the boom gate. We are INSIDE the Beacon Island Hotel complex, next to the volleyball courts. If you need any further directions please ask the security.

The time advertised is the latest meeting time.

PLEASE NOTE:
You will need to be in reasonable physical health & we will require you to complete a medical questionnaire prior to the start of the course. In the event that you answer “yes” to any of the medical questions we may require for you have a medical to confirm that you are fit for scuba diving.
